Speenhamland Primary School is a well-maintained community primaryFrontentrance school (with Foundation Unit) in West Berkshire, which caters for girls and boys from 4 to 11 years of age.

The school plays host to around 300 pupils and take in up to 43 pupils each school year.

The children are able to enjoy our extensive school grounds, including two playground areas, a sports field, a detached sports field, an ICT suite and a well-appointed library, all helping to provide an attractive environment for learning.

Designed to be flexible and sustainable, we are organised into departments (as detailed below) so that a friendly and secure environment can be created for all pupils. All four school departments occupy distinct areas of the school, working as a team. Each team consists three mixed ability classes, organised in slightly different ways to reflect the needs of the children, the skills of the teachers and the demands of the curriculum.

There is a popular before- and after-school club, known as the Dragon Club, which is managed by the governing body.

We actively encourage parents to use Ofsted's ParentView service and let them know what you think about our school. From the quality of our teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour, all information you share will help us to improve and be fed into future Ofsted inspections.
